About
A Bit about me…
Hi, my name is Rowan and I produce podcasts, write music, create sounds and record noises for TV, film, radio, live performances, installations and pretty much anything else that needs it.
I began working with audio at a very early age with a guitar, a piano and a very retro cassette recorder. I graduated to a cassette 4 track allowing me to experiment with overlaying parts and combining different sounds, and soon enough I was writing and recording music, making weird sounds and helping others to do the same almost every day. Moving into spoken word content was a natural progression and has allowed me to work with an amazing array of people on some fantastic projects.
Living in London I carried on working in studios and producing music for projects including adverts for various TV production companies, podcasts, online content, short films and a feature length horror film. During this time I realised that what I really love doing is working on a wide range of projects that allow me to experiment with sounds and collaborate with other creative people on interesting projects. During my time in London I worked in various audio related environments, including at the Guardian, where I got to work on their award winning podcasts and documentaries.
With the motivation of getting involved with as many different projects as possible I moved back to my native Bristol to seek out great things to get involved with. Since making the move I’ve worked on so many incredible projects with production companies, businesses, musicians, poets, artists and a whole bunch of brilliant creative people.
Throughout all this I’ve been a regular contributor to various production music libraries, which gets my work heard all over the globe and allows me to constantly refine my skills as new and challenging briefs for library albums come in.
I’m always keen to hear about exciting new opportunities, so if you’re involved with a project that needs production assistance, noise, sound or music of any kind please get in touch via my contact page.
